Sofia was born in Zurich, Switzerland on September 27th, 1969. She came from a family of Greek and Italian ancestry. They were trying to adapt to the Swiss ways of life. Switzerland is where she spent the first part of her life. She grew up with a French Nanny, her Greek mom, and Italian dad.

By the time she was an adult, she had a passion for liberal arts. She also became fluent in Italian, French, German, Greek, Suisse, Spanish, and English.

Before entering the acting world, she was a model. When she won a beauty pageant at 14, her modeling career began. The money she earned from modeling throughout France, Italy, Japan, Russia, and the United States paid for her education at the School of Business and Economics in Switzerland.

In 1990, she decided to move to the United States. She lived in New York before settling down in Los Angeles.

After her arrival, she began attending acting classes at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, which is led by reowned acting coach and director Milton Katselas.

Milos was cast in Cafe Americain. The show didn’t make a hit, but people began to notice her talent. She started to build an impressive television resume. She made small appearances on some shows such as, Friends and Mad About You. In 1999 she played one of Tim Meadows’ love interets in The Ladies Man.

When she starred in The Sopranos, that’s when she achieved mainstream recognition. After being on small unsuccessful shows, she landed a regular role as detective Yelina Salas in television drama CSI: Miami.
